Brooks Yang is a filmmaker and editor living in Los Angeles. Her work specializes in documentary films and is a current Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellow, 2024-2025. Most recently she was an Associate Editor on the documentary series “Bad Influence” (Netflix) about the dark side of teen influencing. Her other credits include Additional Editor on a forthcoming documentary on an art forger and Associate Producer on “Love, Charlie” (Netflix). Her AE work includes feature films and limited doc series for Netflix, Hulu and HBO. She holds an MFA in Directing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton. Her father is Chinese-American and mother is white; she grew up in Missouri.
