Brooks Yang is an editor specializing in documentary films. Most recently, she was an editor on the upcoming docuseries “O.J. Unseen: Exploitation of Evil,” coming to Investigation Discovery late 2026. Previously, she was an Associate Editor on “Bad Influence” (Netflix), an investigative docuseries that exposes the dark reality of teen influencer fame. Her other credits include Additional Editor on a forthcoming documentary on an art forger and Associate Producer on “Love, Charlie” (Netflix). In 2025, she was a recipient of the Karen Schmeer Fellowship for documentary editors. Her AE work includes feature films and limited doc series for Netflix, Hulu and HBO. She has had the honor of working for two Academy Award Nominated directors. She holds an MFA in Directing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton. Her father is Chinese-American and mother is white; she grew up in Missouri. She lives in Los Angeles.
